As a 501(c)(3) organization, our Foundation assists the Helen Plum Library in meeting their mission by raising funds to supplement the Library’s operating budget. These funds help with collections, technology, programs, services, and upkeep and improvement of the building and grounds, and more.

Recently, the Foundation helped fund the restoration of the historic Helen Plum portrait.
In 2024, the Foundation contributed to a program for Library Card Sign Up Month. We also gave a donation to the library to begin a new early reading program “Grow a Reader.” This program encourages reading to children from birth through age five and includes fun activities along the way. More than 5000 books have been logged so far!
